In this 5-day workshop Anna Schaum merges the healing properties of nature and music, as she introduces TuneUp!— a mindfulness-in-action practice that demonstrates how to achieve internal harmony through the metaphor of tuning of musical instrument.
Achieving harmony is not about eliminating tension, but about working with it, understanding the range, and making constant adjustments it in order to achieve and maintain the perfect pitch. It is only through working with the tension that the instrument is ready to receive the pressures from the fingers and the bow, and ready to make music.
In order to know if you are out of tune, you must first be able to recognize when you are in tune. The first phase of this 5-day workshop focuses on achieving relaxation in the Forest Spa- massage, sauna, and soaking in the onsen, preparing your mind for tuning. The second phase focusses on understanding the pitch, vibration and resonance of your own body and learning tools to keep it in tune. The third phase is understanding your tempo, how to adjust it, when and when not to adjust it harmonize with others.
